Product description

All Volkmann ureteral stents are produced from aliphatic polyurethane (PUR) that has been specifi cally developed for medical applications. Unlike other materials, PUR shows minimal adhesion to blood cells and has a very low-grade inf ammatory ef ect on tissue due to its physical and chemical properties. PUR becomes soft in a moist environment at body temperature, signifi cantly limiting the risks of traumatic injury to surrounding tissue. All Volkmann ureteral stents are approved for long-term use and can remain inside a patient for several months.

  • Holes along the stent to ensure drainage through the tube and along the walls of the ureter.
  • Two pigtail tips securely fix the device in the kidney and bludder and prevent irritation of the bladder's mucous membrane.
  • Tumor Stents (stants with reinforced area) for excellent resistance to compression.
  • Radiopaque PUR ureteral stents are approved for long-term use and can remain inside a patient for 6 months.
  • Different types of stent tips: open/open or open/closed, used for different placement techniques depending on the clinical situation.
  • Graduated scale along the device helps control the depth of stent placement.
  • Multi-length stent (from 24 cm to 34 cm) allows for its use in tall patients or in cases where the length of the ureter is difficult to determine.
  • Retraction thread for fast stent removal without cystoscopy.
  • Hydrophilic coating improves the surface glide, ensuring atraumatic stent placement.
  • Connectable pusher with radiopaque ring or simple pusher assists in placing the device in the pelvicalyceal system of the kidney.
